📜 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using StXaviersOnline ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

StXaviersOnline is an internal digital platform operated by and for St. Xavier's Junior Senior School, Gaushala Road, Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Access is restricted to current students, teachers, and authorized staff of the school.

✅ Eligibility & Access

• You must be a current student, teacher, or authorized staff member of St. Xavier's School to use this App.
• You must sign in with a valid school or personal Google account that has been authorized by the school administration.
• Your access level (student, teacher, admin) is determined automatically based on your email address and managed by the school's admin team.
• You may not share your login credentials or allow unauthorized individuals to access the platform using your account.

📁 Use of the Platform

StXaviersOnline is provided for educational purposes. By using it, you agree to:

• Use the platform only for school-related academic activities — sharing study materials, class communications, and learning assistance.
• Not upload, share, or distribute any content that is illegal, offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate for a school environment.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or exploit the platform, its API, or its data.
• Not use the AI assistant (StXaviersOnline AI) to generate content that is harmful, misleading, or violates school policy.
• Not impersonate teachers, administrators, or other users.
• Respect the intellectual property of materials uploaded by teachers — downloads are for personal study only.

🤖 AI Assistant (StXaviersOnline AI)

The AI chat feature is powered by Groq's API using large language models. By using StXaviersOnline AI, you acknowledge:

• AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Always verify important information with your teacher.
• Do not share sensitive personal information (Aadhaar numbers, phone numbers, passwords, etc.) in the AI chat.
• Your messages are sent to Groq's servers for processing. See Groq's Privacy Policy for details.
• The AI is provided as a study aid, not a substitute for teacher instruction or official school resources.
• Using the AI to complete assignments dishonestly may constitute academic misconduct under school rules.

📤 User-Generated Content

When you upload files or post announcements through StXaviersOnline:

• You confirm that you have the right to share the content and that it doesn't infringe on any copyright or third-party rights.
• Uploaded materials are stored on the school's Google Drive and accessible to other authorized users within the platform.
• Teachers retain full control over files they upload and may delete them at any time.
• The school administration may remove any content that violates these Terms or school policy.

🛡️ Acceptable Use Policy

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in suspension of your account and disciplinary action under school rules:

• Uploading adult, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content
• Harassing, bullying, or threatening other users via the platform
• Attempting to access another user's chat sessions, files, or private data
• Using automated tools or scripts to interact with the platform
• Sharing school files or Drive content with external parties without authorization

⚠️ Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• StXaviersOnline is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
• We are not liable for any loss of data, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the platform.
• The school is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content. Use at your own discretion.
• Drive files depend on Google's infrastructure. We are not liable for third-party service outages.

🔚 Termination

The school administration reserves the right to:

• Suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, without prior notice.
• Remove any content that is deemed inappropriate or harmful to the school community.
• Modify or discontinue the platform at any time with reasonable notice.

Your access automatically ends when you are no longer a student, teacher, or staff member of the school. You may sign out and request data deletion at any time by contacting the administration.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the school's announcement board within the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
